This is a now page, and if you have your own site, you should make one, too.
These days I'm aiming to level up my software engineering skills. (good idea, since I study it, huh?)
I've been having great pleasure using cursor. But it's not there yet. So I've started to join hackathons here and there. I realised I find them more enjoyable than business networkish events. The former seems to be mostly of social nature where the latter gets me home with something I've achieved.
I love product, design and everything business-side. But truth be told my pleasure in actual coding is limited. This (hopefully) changes with an increasing learning curve. My current stance is that I'm not looking to be a 10x engineer. I want to get ideas from 0 → 1 as fast as possible. (maybe that's what a 10x really engineer is? - says me coping)
I've recently rabbit-holed myself into the consumer social industry. I'm now more than ever convinced that a substantial % of all B2C companies are purely exploiting evolutionary deficiencies in our reward mechanisms. No wonder a common theme in my (and many) life's is an unhealthy habit with digital entertainment. If there's any company I would build for pure altruism, it would be solving this. Although I'd basically be fighting biology.
My current approach fighting this consists of 3 things:
